Xmas Ornament Collectible
Parents, what type of Xmas tree do you get? Real or fake?
And how about ornaments? Do you have any collectible or fragile ones that you have to put up now with your little ones?
I’ve always done an artificial tree. I’ve got a 9 footer now. I’ve collected Hallmark ornaments for over 10 yrs now. I still put most of them on the tree, just up higher.
My husband thinks I have too much Xmas stuff and that I put it out too early (Thanksgiving weekend b/c I have 4 days off).
Fake.
We had a real one once. After we brought it home (sack of spider babies and all…that was lovely to get rid of after they all hatched) it fell over in the middle of the night because it was lopsided and shattered very sentimental ornaments.
We actually have 2 trees…the big “nice” tree which is 8 feet tall and strictly white lights, gold balls, gold ribbon, and other matching ornaments…and the “kid” tree which is colored lights, candy canes, and various kid-themed ornaments ranging from Cookie Monster to Snoopy and all that good stuff.
